What was the challenge?
Against a national backdrop of pub closures, award-winning brewer Sadler’s took the bold decision to open not one but two new venues, including the first of a proposed new chain under the Brewer’s Social brand, in Harborne, Birmingham.
Working on a two-month lead time and ever-changing deadlines due to the build, we developed a 10-week campaign to raise awareness of the openings and drive traffic to the venues’ website.
Our approach
Briefed with driving bookings, creating a local buzz around the opening and engaging local and regional press, we worked in partnership with Venues Director, Barry Sherwin and Managing Director, Chris Sadler, to develop a series of stunts; organise and manage an exclusive press event; oversee all proactive and reactive press office duties, including a photoshoot of the new venue, its menu and staff.
In addition, we liaised with our network of local media and influencers to not only spread the word on Brewer’s Social, but also attend the exclusive press event and ultimately, help drive footfall following the opening.
